Feb 21, 2024 – MESA USA is excited to announce our inaugural Executive Director – Jenny Lawson.
Jenny is a proud graduate of Montana State University, She discovered her passion for serving others through her involvement in student government and community organizations, where she worked to support student success and engagement.
Motivated by a deep belief in the power of education to open doors for all students, Jenny spent the next decade as a dedicated science teacher, coach, and curriculum leader in schools across the Midwest, South, and East Coast. She focused on helping students reach their full potential by fostering curiosity, resilience, and critical thinking in the classroom.
Jenny holds a post-master’s certification in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University Maryland. She is committed to creating opportunities for students to thrive in STEM fields and is passionate about supporting educators who inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and leaders.
Jenny joins an alliance of states that provides leadership in access STEM education, achieves programmatic excellence, and ensures national program sustainability.
MESA is a time tested national program with over 50 years of service to students and educators. Our national network of public education, university, industry, and public sector partners collaborate to provide a flexible method to expand the impact of MESA within states and across the nation. MESA USA is the national consortium of MESA programs operating in states across the country.
